The printing and scanning services of the Aalto University Learning Centre have changed as of the start of 2020, as the cardboard-based copy cards (Magna Cards) have been discontinued.

Aalto University staff and students can now print on the three PrintingPoint devices (and on one device, also scan) located in the copy rooms on the first and second floors of the centre.

Other customers can print at the centre using the Print in City service. Print in City allows the customer to add credit on a printing account with a Finnish online banking account, credit card or PayPal account and use designated printers with the help of a personal pin code. The Learning Centre has one Print in City printing point on the first floor, and other Print in City points are available around the Helsinki metropolitan area, such as on the campuses of the University of Helsinki. For more information on the service in English, go to: https://fi.printincity.com/

The Learning Centre customers can print theses contained in the closed Aalto Thesis Database for personal research and study purposes. The database contains digitised theses or theses with no permission for publication. The Aalto University students and staff can print such theses on the PrintingPoint devices, while other Learning Centre customers can print them at the customer service desk for a fee. All customers, including Aalto University staff and students, are charged a fee for any theses printed in colour.

For more information on printing, please contact the Learning Centre’s customer service staff.
