Send us an interlibrary loan request and let us find a library that holds what you need – anywhere in the world. Interlibrary service covers all kinds of print materials, usually book loans or journal article copies. Fill out the form and we will handle the rest. We charge according to our pricelist.

It’s often worth checking the availability of items from nearby libraries. If you find what you need from other library collections, often the quickest and the cheapest way is to visit and borrow items from there personally. Almost all libraries in Finland are open to everyone.

In addition to our own collections, Aalto-Finna also shows items held in the National Repository Library collections, just select the tab on the search results. Orders are free of charge and delivered usually within two business days.

You can also order article copies as pdf-documents to your email free of charge from the collections of the National Repository Library.

You are entitled for free of charge interlibrary loans from other Finnish libraries if a printed book you requested is not owned by any library in the Helsinki metropolitan area. Please check this condition before sending us an interlibrary loan request.
